EPAA an excecutive arm of the Ministry of Commerce and Industries was established in September 2006 with financial and technical support of GTZ / CIM

EPAA will act as an implementing agency of the export promotion policies of MOCI, promoting exports through:

 
  • Export promotion development tools: transparent and customized to each company (from start-up to industry) using an Export Step-by-Step approach.
 
  • Advising and advocacy
 
  • Marketing
 
  • Coordinating both the public and private sector initiatives to create an enabling environment for competitive exports and contribution to the generation of jobs.

Mr.Ahmad Jawaid
Chief Executive Officer

Mr. Jawaid joined EPAA as Chief Executive Officer in mid November 2008. He had served in various administrative positions in CARE international for almost six years and had held different government jobs as Aid Coordination Officer, Budget Officer, Pillar Manager, Budget Policy, Coordination and Reporting Manager, Budget Sectors Coordinator, and Acting Director General Budget with the Afghanistan Assistance Coordination Authority (AACA) and the Afghan Ministry of Finance since 2003. Mr. Jawaid got his masters in International Trade Policy from the Monterey Institute of International Studies in California, USA. During his stay in the United States, he worked with Office of the Commercial Attaché of Afghanistan in Washington DC. He attended several international workshops and conferences in Afghanistan, Pakistan, India, Switzerland and United States.”

 

 
 

Mr. Abdul Hamid Khamosh
Export Documentation Director

Mr. Abdul Hamid Khamosh has been working in Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan as the Export Documentation Officer since May 2007. Before that he was working in Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan in the following positions:1994-2000 member of License Department. 2001-May 2007 Director of Export Promotion Department. Mr Khamosh has received his Diploma from Habibia High School in 1994. And also he has attended training courses in different business activities in Ministry of Commerce and Industry of Afghanistan.

   
   
 

Ms. Sodaba Samad
Finance Officer

Ms. Sodaba Samad has graduated from Abdul Qasim Ferdousi High School, and got degrees in Computer software and English language in 2006, she is studying Social Sciences in Kabul University, and studied PDI program in American University of Afghanistan.
Miss. Sodaba Samad has been working in Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan as Finance Officer since March,2007. Before that, she was working in Ariana Women's Vocational Center as an English Teacher, and worked as a Cashier in BRAC Afghanistan Bank, Kabul Afghanistan. 

   
 

Ms. Pakeezah Feroz
Public Relation Officer


Ms. Pakizah serving as PR Officer at EPPA, graduated in Journalism from Faculty of Journalism, Kabul University. She has got trainings on Accounting, Management and Marketing from Afghan Institute of Business Management (AIBM) in 2008.
She has reasonable command over technical writing and has good hands over MS Office applications.


   
 Ms. Helai Shirzad
Administration Assistant

Helai Shirzad, Documentation Assistant is working at EPAA from September 2008.Currently she is studying Faculty of Economics in Kateb Institute of Higher Education .she gained her High School Diploma in 2007.



   
 Mr. Mohammad Naseer Noori
Marketing & Product Deveopment Officer

Mr. Nasser Noori is graduated from Faculty of Economics, Kabul University in 2006 and DBA from ARO (Afghan Relief Organization) in 2007.
He is working at Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan as Market and Product Development Officer from January 2009.
He also served as Northern Regional Representative of EPPA. He has also worked as Admin Finance in Zadran Carpet Union Peshawar Pakistan.

   
 Mr. Andalib Mushtari
Marketing & Product Deveopment Officer


Mr. Andalib joined EPAA as Market and Product Development Officer in first of February 2009. He is graduated from Economics Faculty of Kabul University in 2007. He has completed short courses in Research Methods, Computer Software and English language.
He has worked in several administrative positions as an economical adviser, planning organizer, professional economical assistant, project manager, TV economical news director and presenter and proposal writing officer in Afghan Carpet Exporters Guild before coming to EPAA.

   
  Mr. Masoud Sadat

Mr. Masoud Sadat has completed his four years bachelor degree in Economics from Economics Faculty of Kabul University. He has also successfully completed Accounting, Management and Marketing trainings at AIBM in 2008. He has worked as Marketing Assistant in Orya Ahmadzai trading company. Currently he is working as Market and Product Development Assistant in EPAA.

 
 Munir Zadran

Mr. Munir Zadran, Traders Hotline Project Focal Point is graduated from Police Academy in 1384, Kabul, Afghanistan
He has worked at Hindokosh NewsAagency as Reporter and Marketing Officer. He has also worked at Weesa Daily, Cheragh newspaper and Abaad weekly as news reporter.



 
 Mr. Ghulam Mujtaba Bakhtyar

Mr.Ghulam Mujtaba Bakhtyar is graduated from Faculty of Natural Science; Kabul Education University in 2008.
He has been working as an IT Officer at Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan since December 2008.

As the Export Promotion Executive Agency of the Afghan Government EPAA shall address issues affecting export including:

  • Promoting Afghan products through the participation in International Trade Fairs
