DCCI Large Banqueting Hall, Dubai, UAE
Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan (EPAA), in joint cooperation with the British Geological Survey
(BGS) and ASMED successfully showcased Afghanistan Marble and Granite stones, on 11th September 2007 at
DCCI Large Banqueting Hall in Dubai.
In the inauguration ceremony of the fair, many Afghan and foreign officials including Presidents of
Marble and Granite factories from Different provinces of Afghanistan, Representative of EPAA,
Afghanistan Commercial attaché in Dubai, Representatives of DCCI, and many invited marble businessmen
attended the event.
Suleiman Fatimie, CEO of Export Promotion Agency of Afghanistan, said:The main purpose for organizing
of this indicated exhibition in Dubai was to create awareness and to find new markets for Afghanistan’s
incomparable marbles. Moreover, according to his speech almost (3000) Kg Marbles and Granite from
different provinces of Afghanistan has been exhibited in this fair, which attracted the attention of
participants.
During the exhibition Afghan Marble and Granite’s features, colors and different types, amazed traders
and generated interest from Dubai Marble factories in to buy and import Afghanistan’s Marbles and
Granites in near future
One of the EPAA’s goals is to create Market linkage between local producers and foreign buyers,
therefore EPAA is proactively marketing Afghanistan’s products and will match Afghan exporters and
foreign importers to strengthen exports.
