| Exports of Afghan Carpets and Licorice Roots to US in 2007 up 40% and 113% respectively | | | | | | | Exports of Afghan Carpets to US are up 40% on 2006's banner year. This accounts for 3.2 millions USD in direct exports from Afghanistan to US. Pakistani exports of carpets to the U.S. are down 13% from 2006 and Iranian carpet exports are down 16%. Exports of Licorice Roots from Afghanistan to US are up 113% on 2006's banner year, from 662,000 USD to 1.54 million USD. Afghanistan's gemstone exports to US remained at just over $1m on the year in 2007 |
