In the frame of the cooperation between EPAA and the Centre for Promotion of Imports from developing countries (CBI) in Rotterdam - the Netherlands, EPAA hosted for the first time a CBI consultant in Kabul. During his stay Mr. Steve Pepper audited the afghan company BOUMI which had applied to enter CBI Home Textile Program. This special CBI program foster successful applicants through individual designed training and coaching as well as through financially support to participate in three consecutive international trade fairs under the umbrella of CBI. In addition, in the frame of CBI Export Coaching Program, EPAA had organized a Home Textile Sourcing Workshop on the 28th of February, where Mr. Pepper explained to interested companies the EU market requirements and trends of home textiles and the selection criteria for all potential applicants. After his workshop the opportunity was given to enter face-to-face meetings with the CBI Consultant.
