0n 28, Jan, 2009 - Press conference was held at Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MoCI), addressing the media and reporters Acting Minister of Commerce & Industry, H.E. Waheedullah Shahrani said that, "According to the figurers from Central Statistics Office and EPAA, Afghanistan's export has increased by 29% in the last three quarters of 2008. He added that last year same time our export stood at 326 Million USD while this year it has
increased to 426 Million USD, showing an increase of 29 percent. Meanwhile Chief Executive Officer of EPAA said that, "The export of dried and fresh fruit, which were $ 69 Million in thee quarters of 2007 increased to $ 170 Million in last three quarters of 2008. It is expected that by the end of Afghan fiscal year Afghan exports will exceed 500 Million USD. | |
